OBSOLETE?

Congratulations! So you're a new committer on Dojo, having submitted at a minimum of 2 good non-trivial patches and earning the respect of the Dojo community?

What now?

First, make sure you're on the Dojo Developers List . All substantial development-related communication happens on this list, and your participation and opinions are both encouraged and appreciated.

Optionally, you are encouraged to subscribe to the Dojo Interest List (if you're not already a member).

Next, you'll want to get a system account (on Mastodon, the primary project server). Getting set up with a project unix system account will give you:

• access to source control (Subversion)
• an "@dojotoolkit.org" email address
• access to at least one box to build and test on

To get your system account, you'll need to coordinate with Dustin Machi who is the project's Ops Maintainer. Once you have your system account, please see the pages on Getting Started With Subversion and Getting Started With Ant for information how to start hacking on Dojo and contributing!

As a project, we don't have many rules, but emphasis is placed on being transparent and doing high-quality work. Therefore, we ask that you:

• vote in foundation matters via the dojo-contributors mailing list
• ensure your patches conform to the Style Guide and include tests/docs where applicable
• document your code using the supported comment style
• only commit code that comes from someone who has filed a CLA
• try to attend project IRC meetings
• attempt not to screw the project over
