Fancy Tabs

Description:

Choose from a variety of tab styles to add navigation to your JotSpot pages.

Features:

  • One line of JotLib markup to have tabs on your page
  • Chose from 9 different tab styles
  • Dynamically highlights the tab of the current page you are viewing
  • Specify a collection of pages you want to have tab navigation

What you need to do:

Step 1: Create a table of contents page

  1. Create a page that you will use as your table of contents (I used "NavList" for my example)
  2. On this page, create a bulleted list of all the pages that you want to have tab navigation (see screenshot below)

Step 2: Include a line of JotLib markup on each page

  1. Go to the first page in your list of links, edit the page, and add this line of code:
<jot:include node="/Lib/Nav/Tabs1" index="/NavList" current="${page/path}" />

You can try out different tab designs by changing the "node" part to anywhere from Tabs1 through Tabs9.

Make sure that you've set the "index" to be the name of the page you created as your table of contents.

Once you save the page, you should see the tabs appear on the page. Now you just have to repeat Step 2 on all of your other pages in your table of contents.
